Violeta Vil was born during the Summer of 2010, with the « gothic-tropical » Lápidas y Cocoteros, a song that tells the story of a young gothic who is condemned to an eternal Summer, living in a tropical country.
The musical influence of the band is varied: soundtracks from the first sci-fi films, psychedelia and electronic music from the 60’s, post punk from the 80’s, shoegaze and dreampop from the 90’s…
Last year, Gabi (synth) and Mónica’s sister Gabita (bass gitar) joined Yanara (guitar) and Mónica (vocals and keyboard) and all four of them compose VV these days.
